MVC Vehicles on Fire Reported Entrapment - Redden Road and Chaplins Chapel Road

On Sunday 8/29/2010 Station 72 was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident on Redden and Chaplin’s Chapel Roads at 1613 HRS. The initial dispatch included a report of subjects trapped with the vehicles on fire. At 1614 HRS A-72 went responding and at 1617 HRS Engine 72-1 was responding. Initial responding units were Medic 107, A-72, 72 Command, and 72-1. Medic 107 and B-72 arrived on-scene reporting 2 vehicles fully involved with exposures to an adjacent residence. Medic 107 and B-72 initiated treatment while Engine 72-1 initiated fire supersession activities on both vehicles. 72-Command asked that the call be escalated to a Level 1 MCI after ascertaining there were 5 patients for transport. ALS and transporting units involved in the call were: Medic 107, Medic 108, EMS 200, EMS ADMIN, Maryland Trooper 4, Delaware Trooper 4, A-72, B-72, B-78, B-75, C-93, A-71, and B-87. 5 Patients were transported to Milford and PRMC by B-78, B75, B72, and Maryland Trooper 4. There was also one priority 4 patient. The Greenwood Fire Company was also dispatched to assist with rescue and treatment activities. Fire and Rescue Units responding: 72-1, Rescue 72, 72-9, and Rescue 78. Station 72 would like to thank all those involved with helping on this call.
